Instructional Technology

This class has been a very insightful look at where Instructional Design has come from and where it is going. We have seen how others have influenced the concept of instruction and now we have the opportunity change it and make it into something that works for us. So, were are you going to take the concept?

PowerPoint

So, I have my PowerPoint presentation all set up and ready to present to the class. There is only a rough outline and setup to it. I would appreciate it if you could reply and comment on the presentation with suggestions and criticism.

Flickr 2.0

I appreciate all of the positive responses to my picture and art work. I wanted to let everyone know that for the right price I will consider selling some of them. Some of you asked what program was that I was using… I usually use Microsoft Picture It 7.0 for most of the color selection and for the layered shots I used Photo Shop. If you ever have any other questions or comments don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you again!

Impressed!

multiple-intelligences.pptI was very impressed with the effort and creativity put into the PowerPoint’s for this week’s class.  I was very awed by Amy O.’s PowerPoint. Her slides are direct and to the point without too much fluff and jargon. Her links are relevant and resourceful. I am going to take some of the links that she has posted and apply them to my curriculum. I was also excited to see all of the different directions that other presenters and presentations took to show their theorist.

Flickr

Flickr is a photo sharing and management site that has proven to be very convenient and easy to use. I started uploading several photos of my own just to see if this site was right for me. I have been a part of several different sites and liked most but have yet to find one that has all of the characteristics that I would like.

I am happy with Flickr thus far. I am considering signing up for a full account ($24.95)  just to see if there are any added perks to being a fulltime member. Check out my picture and let me know what you think.

Constructivism Vs. Objectivism

Submitted By: Marc S

There are pros and cons to both Constructivism and Objectivism. I find myself leaning towards being an objectivist but not committed to one over the other. I view learning as acquiring knowledge instead of using outside influences to just change the knowledge that we already have. There are many people that have chosen their sides and create valid argument to justify their views and opinions.

Overwhelmed

Coming into an introductory course based around technology I felt confident. Little did I know endlessness of the internet and its resources. Between the three sites that we have been introduced to I am extremely overwhelmed at the possibilities of technology. I can see how so many can spend countless hours surfing, browsing and blogging. I am eager to explore the options and opportunities that this class has to offer! Good luck to all those reading this blog!
